24/07/2010 - Keele updateHere is an update from the Keele International tournament being held this weekend. In the first match Whitley were beaten by Liverpool Reserves 2-1 with Liverpool hitting a late winner after the scores had been levelled with a Julie Twaddle goal. In the second match of the day, Whitley beat Denton Town 1-0 when Amy O'Brien hit her first goal in Whitley colours. Youngsters Charlie Gorman and Sarah Burn are impressing and certainly don't look out of place in this company. Our next match is tomorrow morning at 10am, the final group match v Wigan Athletic which Whitley have to win to progress to the semi finals. CP |
