26/04/2010 - South Shields Match Preview

Tonight sees Whitley back in cup action as they travel to South Shields for the League Cup Semi Final, with Ashington once again awaiting the winners in the final.

With the exception of the FA Cup, this is the only competition that Whitley enter that Ian Chandler hasn't won as a manager, he also hasn't won it as a player so he is keen to see Bay reach their first Northern League cup final since 1971.

Whitley went out at this stage last season, losing on penalties to Penrith.

A full strength Bay side is expected tonight.
