19/03/2010 - Spennymoor Town Match Preview

This game is being billed as the biggest of the league season and could go a long way to determining who comes out on top at the end of the season. Spennymoor are the visitors to Hillheads and Whitley almost certainly need to win to keep alive our title hopes. But with Bay still looking for silverware on three other fronts and the games coming thick and fast Bay boss Ian Chandler has some difficult decisions to make. Chandler told us "The lads need a rest, they were very tired last night [against West Allotment] and it showed in the performance, however I'm conscious our fans will be out in force and we can still win the league." "I have to consider we are in 2 semi-finals and 1 final, all of which needs us on top of our game to make sure we bring some silverware back to Hillheads" "I'm sure every player will want to be involved tomorrow, and I want to win." Chan also thinks the West Allotment game going to extra time just 2 days before this match may be a blessing in disguise "Last night was good for us, maybe a nudge to say we can't just turn up and win, we have to work extra hard as other teams are now looking at us as a scalp and are raising their game." Spennymoor are currently 9 points ahead of Whitley having played a game more. Kick off is at 3pm at Hillheads and as a large crowd is expected you are advised to arrive early.
