15/03/2010 - Josh Gillies signs from Blyth

We're delighted to announce the signing of Josh Gillies from Blyth Spartans.
Josh is a 19 year old midfielder who trained with Bay in the summer before choosing to join Spartans.
Bay boss Ian Chandler told this website "We're absolutely delighted to have finally got Josh, he came training with us in the summer but he chose Blyth as he wanted to play at the highest level possible.
He was hoping to find a path in to professional football and had a few trials, but nothing came of them, he’s a right or left sided played with great pace and skill.
Josh is only 19 and I envisage he’ll be a big hit with the fans, I do believe he can be as good if not better than Chris Moore who played his first professional game at the weekend."
